"H VASILISSA TOY AEGEOU- to taxidi tis Atalantas" published in Greek by Oceanida

An era, that of the dark years of our history. The 7th and 6th c.BC, a glorious time for the region of our history. An island, Lesvos, the Queen of the Aegean, at that time in its greatest prosperity. A civilization, the Greek culture of the North Aegean, which gives exceptional cultural examples through the poetry of Sappho and Alcaeus, the military and political skills of the wise Pittakos, the scientific achievements of Thales of Miletus, the myths of Aesop. A state that ceases to be aristocratic and brings to power ordinary mortals, merchants, the military. And a beautiful, strong woman. An aristocrat. She will find herself alone from a very young age and will struggle to stand on her own two feet, against the social and financial restrictions of her origin and gender. She will practice naval trade in the Aegean and will meet a few of the most famous people of her time, from Sappho to Thales of Miletus and Solon the Athenian, going from Lesvos to Athens, the eastern islands of the archipelago, the prosperous cities of Minor Asia and all the way to Crete and Cyprus. A struggle for autonomy in the dynamic spirit of a new era that has left an indelible mark on European culture to this day. But also, thestruggle of the soul in search of the one and only, true love.
